mXcomment versus akoComment and Mamblog.... 4 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
I have installed mXcomment and it works fabulously with all my intended content, except my Mamblog content. Yes I have installed and re-installed all the latest versions of Joomla, Mamblog and mXcomment.

The view/add comment tag is visible but when you click on it either the blog item comes up without any comment stuff.... or with only the title.

Reading between the lines it appears that mXcomment appears to be the next 'update' of akocomment, but I was wondering should I go back an try it? OR is there something I am missing with regards to mXcomment?

Cheers...<br /><br />Post edited by: GaryGudbranson, at: 2007/10/15 00:16

I have the same issue. I just switched from JomComment because I didn't like the way the post a comment full box showed up on every page (including the latest posts page). I have an older revision of mxComment on another one of my sites (without mamblog) and I'm curious if just the latest revision of mxComment doesn't work with mamblog. I can't seem to find the install files for an older version though.

eg. Hopefully one of the tools just needs some code updates/hacks.<br /><br />Post edited by: joshua.lyon, at: 2007/10/31 14:25

boshdirect.com - my personal site. I often blog about technology so you might be able to find some good tips there.

I am having the same problem, and even uninstalled mXcomment and installed akoComment to see if it would work (even though I like MX better). But I had the same problem with akoComment.

So I am kind of stuck at this point

I really like mXcomment, but need to find a solution where i can have a blog and comments. So hopefully someone will come up with a fix.

The answer to this one is easy if you haven't found it already.

Instead of linking your link to component, mamblog; just link to content section mamblog - this will list all of the blog items as content recognised by mxcomment and it will display accordingly.

No hacks/patches, just trial and error myself - thats how I found your post

Tim.
