The option to Email the Article to a friend will not work. The popup window just says "You are not authorised to view this resource.".
I discovered if I enable the default joomla email button, the mXcomment button will then work. I don't want to have both showing. I just want the mXcomment button to work.
How can I fix this problem?

The sef_ext.php in the package works with sh404SEF. Check your configuration in sh404SEF.

What exactly needs to be enabled or disabled? I tried different combinations, but still can't get it to work. I should also note that before I was using sh404SEF, the Email Article was not working either. I had the default Joomla! SEF active.

Hello,
I have the same problem and I am not using an SEF component *yet*.
If i set E-mail article option in Joomla global configuration to "hide", E-mail link in mxcomment says "Not authorized to view this page".
Anyway in which I can fix this ? And I am looking at using the inbuilt Joomla SEF function later on, I hope that would not cause this to break ?

Fixed.
It's a shame noone else replied to this, I'm sure there are a lot of people out there using MXComment's e-mail to friend functionality.
Anyway, what I did was to enable the Global Joomla "E-mail" option, and then just remove the "E-mail" text from the common section in your languages file (language/english.php)
Hope that helped someone.

I'm having the same problem. Can you be more specific on what the path to the language file is? And what line you commented out?
I can't seem to find it on my own.
