I am having trouble understanding how the admin cannot troubleshoot his/her own issue.
I am having this same exact problem. MxComment works great on all page EXCEPT the front Page. I am trying to upgrade my site to joomla 1.5, and I need this to be working properly.
Admin,
I have disabled front-end through the plugin section. When that failed, I opened the mxcommentbot file itself and realized that the parameters set through the Joomla Admin section did not write to the bot file. notshowfrontend was set to 0 when it should have been set to 1. I set it to 1, and it STILL shows up on the frontend.
Please let us know what the solution is!!!!!!!
