I want to write an extension to add multi-criteria author rating to AlphaContent. I already evaluated JReviews, but found it too bulky and complex for my simple needs.

I see that AlphaContent already has built-in a 5-star content review, but I want to add an Author Review feature to allow authors to rate the topic of their articles by multiple rating criteria (i.e., Acting, Story, etc.).

Is this do-able without hacking the core, or will a core modification be required? Again, I'd prefer to write an extension rather than having to alter the source code. Thanks!
