I have just upgraded to mxComment 1.0.8 and I have noticed an issue with sh404SEF 1.0.4 and mxcomments.

I am Running J! 1.5.2

When sh404SEF is enabled the 'read more' links point to e.g. localhost/?task=view and does not work. However when I disable sh404SEF the link points to localhost/the-family/287.html?task=view and works fine.

I don't know if this is an mxComment or sh404SEF issue so I am posting in both forums.

Same here, I have tried to disable the URL process in sh404SEF (under configuration -> by component) but still got the 404 error page.

i deactivate the com_maxcomment component url optimisation in sh404sef configuration (but like you i have still issues with user comments link and read more link)
what i did was to pass the com_content component as well in sh404sef configuration and everything comes back to normal but... there is no more url optimisation for any articles !

What i suspect is that mx_comment redirect "user comments" link and the "read more" link to com_content component. By the way sh404sef make an url optimisation (unless you pass com_content component in the sh404sef config).

May be if mxcomment have it's own redirect system without redirecting to com_content, things would work (the "pass" configuration of the sh404sef component will work correctly)

i have the same problem link read more DONT WORK. BUT if i uninstall this component (which say compatibility for J15, but no), i cant enable show standard more read link nor title of content.
Now i must use unworking comment system:( Here is a long time about this problem, but nothing solution here... I want donate, becaause your work help me, but now i dont know...
