Getting mXcomment to work 2 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi

I have installed mXcomment V1.0.8 on J 1.5.3

I have the "Main operating mode" set to manual.

What I do now to get comments to appear on an article?

I have tried putting {mxc} at the end of the article but that doesnt do anything.

Can anyone help me?

Nice comment component mr.developer. I love this comment system. I also have tried all comment component and I see this Mxcomment look better than others.

I got same problem with you. I'm using J1.5. When install, its look no problem there. Look it will work greatly in my site. I set to allow automatically to my cetegories. I enable the plugin and put it on the last position.

I have read the readme that you put inside com_maxcomment folder. I folloy that easy installation guide.

Only this I tried to understand but I can't.
If you use mXcomment with Joomla 1.5.x and SEF enabled, check the suffix (.html) is enabled too.

pls feel free to let me know what is all about?? I'm newbie..

regards..
p/s: sorry for my wrong english (i'm not speak english daily)

I also tried everything and still no comments are showing...I do not know what they mean by the suffix in HTML either...
Plugin is enabled, everything installed fine. This is so depressing. Every single comments component I have tried does not work for 1.5. I thought FINALLY this one installs with no errors...but alas, there are no comments to be found anywhere -- please help!!

Hi,

I have the same problema. I´m using Joomla 1.5.3, JoomSEF v3.1.2 and mxcomment 1.0.8.

I tried using the mxcomment extention for joomsef 2.1.x but it doesn´t work.
Have you guys solved the problem?
Can it be the order of the plugins?

Thanks,
Pablo

Is this your answer for this issue? If so - it does not help. I have posted in another thread as well that this issue is unresolved. Their are handfulls of people just like me that cannot get it to work.

Can you please help!

I had mxcomment running on my website and liked it, but I had other difficulties, so I started rebuilding. Unfortunatly mxComment is not running now.

I have legacy enabled.

What plugin exactly do I have to enable? I don't see a mx-comment-plugin.

Enabling SEF: I don't know much about SEF yet. So, what do you mean when you are saying: "when SEF is enabled"?

  • Do you mean:
The a plugin called System - SEF.

In the Global Configuration you can choose: Search Engine Friendly urls

  • Thanks!
