I think I experience the same thing...
Here's the situation

I installed the latest Alphacontent on my localserver and words fine but when I installed it in my web hosting it does not work.

Modify your var $mosConfig_absolute_path in your configuration.php file.

I tried to install the very same component on different web hosting and this time it works very well..
What could have gone wrong?
