Unistalled old version and installed AlphaContent 3.0.2
In old vers in admin Section ID:and Category ID: worked.
On this new version having something in there say 54,60,45 or even blank makes no differance.
Cleared joomla cache, browser cache
So basically AlphaContent 3.0.2 is not showing all my content.
Not picking up Category or sections
** Updated **
For anyone else having this issue the solution is:
Totally remove AlphaContent
Reinstall AlphaContent
Upon the new installation AlphaContent will search your content and reflect what you have.
AlphaContent does not update by itself (seems not to) on changing any Section or Catergory.

Post edited by: lipex666, at: 2008/02/10 08:18

I have a similar problem with 3.0.2. I recently updated to Joomla 1.5.1 and now it just stopped indexing. Funny thing is that it does index up until the 12th. That was the last article posted before the migration started.
I am not convinced there is an issue with my database as the search does find the new articles without problem.

This problem seems to exist with 3.0.3 as well. Using it with my site now.
After installing, it will index all your articles, but any articles you add after installing it will not index. This is a huge bug. Any chance of getting it fixed?
Aside from this issue, it's a great joomla extension.

I have a similar problem, content items are not showing. I uninstalled and re-installed the alphacontent but the articles did not get index. The number of items are showing each category but when you click the link - no results. I think this is a bug. I hope it will be fixed.

I do not have SEF activated and I am experiencing the same problem on version 3.0.3. Using Joomla 1.5.1 I didn't experience the issue on Joomla 1.0.14
If you need to reproduce on my site, I'd b e happy to accommodate you. I love Alphacontent and am bummed out I can't use it now.
My issue is the same as for most others. It indexes articles once after installation and doesn't add any anymore after that. Any new article made after the installation of Alphacontent will not show.

Hi,
I have been having the same problem as those before me... I have a clean install, and really like this component. I just checked back to my site after the day away from the computer and the new content i added last night has shown up. When i first added it, nothing would show.. tried clearing joomla cache, global check in logging out etc, nothing worked. Now, the only thing different i've done is left it alone for about 20-24 hours. I have closed my browser... not that i can see that having anything to do with it, but thats my scenario... hope it helps with determining how to solve this.
I have...
Joomla 1.5.1
AplhpaContent 3.0.3
local install on my G4 Powerbook,
Apache/1.3.33 (Darwin) PHP/4.4.1
mySQL < 4.1.2
Cheers!

I tried with both cache enabled and disabled. Also emptied it all the time while testing. Did not make a difference. Have you got an idea yet of what could cause this problem?
Like I said, if you need to test this, I'd be happy to accommodate you.
