Same thing is happening to me, but it is random, some links show content, others do not show content with version 3.0.2

Hi, was just playing around trying to isolate the problem and found another interesting part... I have a alphacontent menu item created to show all the sections and categories and it shows things that have been created in the past. I just created a new section and it does not show in this menu item. So i created a new alphacontent menu item and specified the section ID of the new content section and it shows fine. I then created a section category and it showed fine under the new menu item, however the content i then proceeded to create still does not show instantly... i imagin it will apear in about 12-24 hours.

It appears that many people are having this problem, including me now. Yes, my cache is disabled. Nothing I seem to do allows me to show items I add AFTER I install AC.

Is there a link for me to download an older version that works with Joomla 1.5 that does not display this problem?

It sure appears that the component has some sort of cache stored which i cannot seem to find anyway to control. My joomla cache is OFF (set to NO) and if i mauanlly clear my Joomla cache no progress.... So... what does AlphaContent do to "read" the DB for new articles/categories/sections? Is their a way to add a "Refresh" button in Alphacontent config?

I don't think a refresh button is the solution here, the component should simply add new articles on the fly as they get added by the author. Somehow the component doesn't pull the new articles from the database even when no cache is used.

Like I said, I would happily give the programmer access to my website if necessary.

Core SEF in Joomla 1.5.7 seems to cause some of these problems with AlphaContent 4.0.3, but the contact and link sections simply don't work.

i think i found the solution for this problem. everybody was talking about not working first, but working after x time. i first of all checked my general cache setting. nothing helped.

i am also using sh404SEF on this joomla and this component has got his own cache. in the SEF component I put the cache setting for Alphacontent on "nocache". this resolved the problem for me. i hope this is a help for you all and also a way to search for the developper to solve this problem permenantly.

I found the problem to be caused by certain filter options for display of AC output. It is the default ordering selector under the component settings. These option do not work--they will return false "no result" messages:

Date Created ASC /DSC
Date Modified ASC / DESC
Hits ASC / DESC
Author ASC / DESC

I also get "no results" if I switch the ordering filter on the front end results page to "default ordering" for the contacts.
