Is it possible to directly change a hyperlink for the "read more..." 's?

I am working on a solution to add modules to articles that aren't linked in a visible menu, but I can't figure out where to directly change a link.

I want to edit the read more hyperlinks to unpublished menu items so that I can add modules to alphacontent output.

I've been able to successfully do this using firebug, but cannot figure out which file firebug was editing.

Please help.
